ShoreTel New Zealand Telecommunications Vendor of the Year 2015

I was thrilled when ShoreTel won “New Zealand’s Telecommunications Vendor of the Year” at the inaugural Reseller News ICT Industry Awards 2015.

ShoreTel’s Telecommunications Vendor of the Year award recognizes our increased market share, revenue growth and new partner signings over the past year in New Zealand as key factors in our success.

We have had a presence in New Zealand for many years through distribution and reseller partners, and built up a strong contingent of reference sites both with iconic local organisations including Bell Gully, Brookfields Lawyers and Wellington Museums Trust and the NZ operations for international firms including Jones Lang Lasalle, Hoyts and Drake International.

However, this past year has been the most significant one for us in New Zealand.

At the beginning of 2015 we appointed our first ever in-country Partner Business Manager. That appointment was part of a concerted investment we have been making in resources, cutting-edge technology and new partnerships to enable us to drive strong performance across the country.

We have established new partnerships in New Zealand and launched ShoreTel Connect – our new common platform for onsite, cloud and hybrid UC deployments – which is supported by our new Champion Partner Program, due to come into effect in New Zealand this month. The new program features a points-based rewards system with one annual target combining cloud, hybrid and onsite sales, which will make our NZ partners more competitive in the UC space.

It’s really humbling to receive an award like this, as judged by 40 of our peers from the local IT channel – distributors, vendors and resellers. I am looking forward to another great year for ShoreTel in New Zealand, and will make sure to keep my diary free for the 2016 Reseller News ICT Industry Awards!
