Girskis has been named senior vice president of worldwide sales, responsible for leading all of ShoreTel's sales efforts. Girskis, most recently the senior vice president and general manager of Boost Mobile, a subsidiary of Sprint-Nextel, brings to ShoreTel nearly 25 years of solid executive management experience, including successful leadership of direct, indirect and government sales efforts. He takes the reins of the company's 2008 plan to rapidly expand the market for products designed to enable businesses to seamlessly integrate communications with business processes, creating a more collaborative and productive enterprise.

Prior to ShoreTel, Girskis held a variety of executive positions during a distinguished 15-year career at Sprint-Nextel. As the senior vice president and general manager of Boost Mobile, Girskis grew the subsidiary from initial concept to more than a billion in revenue. While at Nextel, he also served as general manager, Los Angeles Metroplex, the largest Nextel market in the nation with year 2000 revenues of $501 million. Girskis joined Nextel in 1993 as general manager when the company was still in start-up mode and developed and implemented the business plan for the greater Los Angeles area. Prior to Sprint-Nextel, Girskis held positions with Businessland, CompuCom, and Los Angeles Cellular Telephone Company. Girskis has a B.A. in Business Administration from California State University at Fullerton.
